Fergusson Jr. College has two grantable (aided) divisions for Arts Stream. One division has Marathi medium with capacity of 120 seats and the other has English medium with capacity of 120 seats.

Also there is one Self Finance(unaided) division for Arts stream which has English medium and capacity of 120 seats.

A student has to choose total 8 subjects. Along with 3 compulsory subjects, a student can choose 5 other optional subjects like:

  1. Four subjects from Social Sciences group and One second language. OR
  2. Three subjects from Social Sciences group and Two second languages as Sanskrit and German.

Important Note :

  1. A student going for English medium can opt for either Sociology or Logic (Not both at a time).
  2. A student going for English medium can opt for either Geography or Philosophy (Not both at a time).
  3. A student going for English medium can opt for either Logic or Mathematics (Not both at a time).
  4. A student must choose at least one second language.
  5. If a student wants to choose two second languages, they can be Sanskrit and German.
  6. Logic and Philosophy subjects are not offered for Marathi medium Arts.
